Sharon’s Policy is a FREE domestic abuse policy template, developed in collaboration with Domestic Abuse Alliance, Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse and The HR Dept. This initiative was created to assist businesses of all sizes and in all sectors, in supporting employees affected by domestic abuse.
The policy is legally reviewed and annually updated, and comes with practical guidance notes to help tailor it to your organisation’s specific needs. When downloaded, you’ll also gain access to our latest initiative, Protecting Every Future – a resource which focuses on adapting family-friendly policies and procedures within the workplace.

The policy is reviewed and updated on an annual basis to reflect any changes in legislation. You will receive the most recent version as soon as updates are made.
The policy identifies three essential steps for businesses:
Recognise
Be aware of the signs that an employee may show within the workplace, if they are experiencing domestic abuse.
Respond
Create a safe and supportive space for employees when issues arise, focusing on their individual needs.
Refer
Signpost employees to specialist support, and provide reasonable adjustments within the workplace.
